Hey guys, just looking for some of your opinions.. In June, I will be getting a new phone for my birthday and I can't decide whether to get the Android Galaxy Nexus or the Iphone 4s. I'm not really familiar with all the phone stuff so some input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

I would say iphone 4s. Just because of the smooth interface and all-around usage.

The Iphone 4s is REALLY popular and I just can't decide. Androids look sweet and it'll have more room because I'd be getting an 8gb iphone. One of the main reasons of getting the Iphone would be because my Ipod is really old and I'd want to get a new one. If androids are really easy to put music on then it won't be such a big deal.

(didn't feel like typing it out for this one)

I would wait for it to be closer to June though. You never know if something really good is going to announced in Spring or Early Summer.

I'd get the iPhone 4S or if the iPhone 5 comes out get that. Reason being...simplistic UI . Apple is all about making it easy for you. Android is for someone that wants control of everything but sacrifice simplicity for it. The network really shouldn't be compared, imo, if anything the specs of the Nexus and iPhone 4S are about the same minus the screen, memory, and OS.

there is no way that the 4S is better than Galaxy Nexus. i have android 4.0 on my Google Nexus which was the first phone to get it and it's awesome. so much better than the iOS crap. the 4S is EXACTLY the same as the 4. the only difference is SIRI who is absolutely USELESS. i tell her to open an app and the bitch just says "sorry, i do not have permission to do that." yet she says it for everything. my mum has the 4S and uncle has 4. there is no difference. the A5 chip makes no difference. everything feels the same and is the same speed as the 4S. it's not worth it.

there's also the shitty App Store for iPhone. it's so much worse than the Android Market. they charge you for everything including angry birds dude. angry birds. you can get that awesome shiz for free on Android.

and the Galaxy Nexus is going to be the fastest phone on the market for a while so yeah. get eet!

Watch, by the time June rolls around there's going to be an Iphone 5, apple is frustrating like that, releasing new shit like ever 3 months. But the Galaxy Nexus is pretty new I believe so that should be good for a while? Not sure though.. Honestly, I have no experience what so ever with androids, do they have a good app store and stuff? I honestly know basically nothing except for some stuff I found on google because none of my friends have it :) Thanks for your input so far guys!

Go with Apple on phones. I have an iPhone 4S, but I am unbiased. I hate Apple as far as computers, but the iOS is superior to Android's OS in all areas, regardless of what anyone will try to tell you. Apple's products are closed-source, meaning not just anyone can publish an app or mod the software. Android is open-source, which results in shitty coding and problems that can afflict your phone if you download a lot of apps.

By June, there will be some announcement of the iPhone 5, so if you can, just wait until then. If not, getting the 4S might be questionable, as there is no 4G LTE technology in the 4S. The 3G on Verizon is pretty fast, and gets the job done for me, but if you are obsessed with speed, it might pose a problem.

Overall, iPhone > Android all day, every day.

    Hope that helps. :)

There are free versions of most every app on the app store on the iPhone. Honestly, though, I had rather pay for my apps than get the free Android version that runs the chance of having malware or spyware.

And there is a HUGE difference between the 4 and 4S. Beside the faster A5 processor, the antennae is far superior to any antennae in a phone on the market. Research it.

Well not neccesarily. But if you download apps from unknown people or developers, they can be have malware and such. Just google search it. I like not having to worry about it because on iPhone, you know Apple has tested it and made sure it runs smoothly.

Besides malware, sometimes the coding is just shitty and it can bog down your phone.

Apple sucks I just hate them because everywhere I look in my university is just fucking iPhones and they get so hyped just for the new iPhone when it is just a little faster and thinner, and when they get a new iPhone they bragg about it but they don't realize that everyone has it.

Phones upgrades every 6 months which is another 350$ another 350$ and another 350$ and so on.

Just get the one that is better.

I would go with Android all the way. The screen is REALLY nice and it doesn't have near as many restrictions as the iPhone does. Your music in itunes can also be transferred now to Android through an system that converts them to standard mp3 format, so your music shouldn't be an issue. And for the icing on the cake, the Nexus will be the first Android phone to come stock with Ice Cream Sandwich, which in my opinion blows iOS out of the water.

The only reason I don't support the iPhone is because Apple is totally cheating their consumers. Adding a camera to the phone doesn't make it new. When they actually come up with a new phone then I will consider them. Right now, HTC are my phones of choice.

No not like Skyrim, a game is different from a crappy device, Skyrim does not upgrade every 6 months, TES series comes out every 4-6 years, I think an iPhone can be compared to Call of Duty because Call of Duty comes out every year with alittle different weapons and different map. And Bethseda worked hard on Skyrim and I know it has alot of glitches and bugs but not as much as Oblivion or Morrowind when it first came out. And what do you expect! I've never seen a game with a big Open World as TES that contains hundreds of miles of modeling so there is always a bug a glitch.

Again you get it for PC, Skyrim is a game for PC because I had no bugs or glitches when I got it for the PC infact it ran smoothly on my computer I had alot of graphics mod such as ENB, HI Rez Texture, ect. and still run smoothly.
