Content manager issue?

Like most of you out there i spent hours just messing around with the setting and features the vita has to offer.
But when i got to conent manger i noticed my vita could see or tranfer videos i had stored on my ps3 ?

first i thought it was because i had jap trailer i was trying to copy which i installed from my jap psn account.
but i could see one film that had stored but none of the others ?

I checked my setting tried over and over again no joy...
formatted my ps3 to reset setting registered my ps vita on remote device again..

formatted my vita,started over still no luck..

Checked with a friend and all his setting seemed the same..
thought it could be a memory card issue, i.e. not enough room so it would let me see the files ?
so deleted a about 3gb of my 8gb card...still no luck..

I then installed CMA on my laptop but it could only see a ep of bigbangtheory (avi.)
and a ep of spartacus (mkv.) i have tones of film but my vita didn't see any of them ?

I out of ideas now ? could my vita be broke ?

anyone had this issue ?

I havent tried this so I could be wrong... The old psp needed videos to be in .mp4 format

Try downloading psp video 9. Then convert an episode of the big bang theory - or download a film uploaded by holyroses on the pirate bay. Some of his uploads are for handhelds (in mp4)

Yeah doing this kind of thing now,just seems strange my mates can see his films,but i can't and we "watch" the same films from the same places ?'

wonder if the ps3 has a converter that he's got switched on or something ?

will copy a film he has and seeif that shows up on mine ?

Problem solved...

It is a mp4 issue,but i just download 2 trailers mgs and something else and the vita can't play this content...
very strange that the vita can't show content you can openly download from the psn store ?

i assumed the vita would be able to play all types of codec the ps3 could...o well atleast i can watch access on my ps vita now.
