If you have played MGS3 and/or MGS2 and loved it you won't be disappointed by the HD Remake, But if you crave a new game you haven't played before I would suggest Gravity Rush, to be honest they are both really good.

My suggestion is Gravity Rush, Not to say that MGS isn't a good game.

Quite the opposite, Its my favourite PS Vita game right now. But Gravity Rush is a new concept and a great game.

I own both and while Gravity Rush is a great game with a superb atmosphere, cute story and fantastic soundtrack with some innovative gameplay that makes great use of the Vita's features -- I'd put my money on the MGS HD Collection.

You'll get more bang for your buck that way. The game(s) is (are) cheaper than Gravity Rush and it won't be long until you can find Gravity Rush pre-owned in stores. It's rather short and that may be it's biggest flaw -- even if a longer game might not have kept my interest up to the end.

UNLESS you really, really want a more classic adventure game for the PS Vita. I might also add that I'm a -huge- Metal Gear fan, so getting the HD collection was a no-brainer for me.

imo Gravity Rush is a great original+native Vita game that's well worth it.
i'm playing through my MGS HD collection and while these are classic games, they're ports from PS2. with shoddy Vita adaptations in certain places. (and Peace Walker missing, compared ot PS3's HD collection)

if you need a bit more detail on Gravity Rush, then feel free to check my review.

I'd go with MGS. I'm loving it so far, but then again the only MGS I played was Peace Walker, so this is all new to me. In the end, it's up to you man, do some research, see where it gets you! :)

Just download MGS HD off of the Store last night for 19.99. Played a few minutes of MGS 2 and I'm totally satisfied. A nice HD port with smooth gameplay. Cant wait to try MGS 3 :)
