Sony has now officially announced the firmware 1.8, which is the next major firmware release, will include support for the first slew of PSOne classics on the Vita. The bad news, as mentioned during E3, is that all PSOne Classics will not become available right out of the gates. Rather, support will be rolled out a few games at a time, with the initial release expecting to consist of at least Tomb Raider, Wild Arms, Jet Moto, Twisted Metal 2, Final Fantasy 7, Arc the Lad, and likely some others as well. The good news is that if you've already purchased them, you won't have to do so again. You only need to buy each classic on one system to play it on all the systems it's available on.
