...And here's the catch: the game you need is Motorstorm Arctic Edge (or 'Raging Ice' in Japan), and it appears to have already been pulled from the PS Store. Besides, it was never compatible with US-registered Vitas in the first place. Nevertheless, if you happen to have bought this old PSP title for your Vita already, then this may just work. Hacker Wololo claims that later today he'll release Vita Half Byte Loader files, which will give you a "limited PSP homebrew experience" on your lovely new handheld -- and indeed we've already seen it playing Sega Genesis titles. The hack supposedly uses an exploit in this particular Motorstorm title -- but since Sony is already on VHBL's tracks, who knows if it'll really work or how long it'll last? Video evidence after the break.

Man.. I think buying games is better than hacking shit.
Unless you havent got the money, in which case, work harder. Or if you lack the mental capabilities... then fair play to you.

Not you DJD, just people in general.. Consoles get region locked and stuff because of assholes hacking shit.. - Sorry, its Friday..

IKR, it's time to help the developers! In this day an age, fools are starting to think that the iPhone is the best portable console!
We need to buy our games, and help these developers live longer!
If the console is completely dead, i.e. the GBA, then go ahead and download an emulator on your PC!! And relive those memories, but don't attempt to hack the VITA god damn it!

Oh well I don't agree with hacking at all, I can do a little something but only for clean purposes.
BTW Hacking is a way for messing the quality and support the company gives us up, we are basically saying F**k you Sony!
And Sony has mad so many sacrifices for us (Vita related) if it wasn't for them we'd be paying 325 for a Wi-Fi Only model and 399 for a 3G Model.

Its bound to happen eventually. As I have said before, if its jailbroken iOS style which allows for 3rd party apps not lisenced by sony, im all for it.

If its to download games and pirated software, I am against it.

Well you have your own opinions and thats well and all but even with hombrew it can hurt us all....did you know if there is an emulator on an opposite developer company's hardware, they have to compensate and pay them. (It not thousands but hundreds per emulator).
Not Cool, you learn a lot when making games.

Hmm didnt know that. Do you work for a developer? if so thats bad ass!

I am talking more about though productivity apps and what not. Is that as bad ( I am not trying to sound like a smart ass, a legitimate question) Emulation doesn't really make a difference to me as I have a HUGE collection of old games and systems and I prefer the organic experience of playing on the original console.

I'm not going to touch this comment for more than a few seconds.. but i will say YOU'RE WRONG. Hacking is not worng.. in any sense of the word. If all you know about hacking is Piracy and the doings of people that hurt companies.. then your perception of Hacking is ALL wrong and mis-informed

As someone that works in developing and network security i can tell you that Hacking is almost as important to industry as the devs them selves.

Hackers push, prod and force products to do things that they can;t normally do. Without hackers do you think MS would have done what the Xbox can do now? Hackers though homebrew has full media centers running and streaming movies on XBOX 1 years before MS implemented Media Center, DLNA, and other streaming options.. Thats just one example. They find holes and weaknesses all over the industry. Again i'm not ging to get into an argument about semantics and the gray side of it all.. but please inform yourselves before you make BLANKET statements like that..

Knowledge is power and if all you take in is what is spoon-fed to us by companies then i pity you..
