PS vita tethering

i have a vita of course and i have a lg vortex with custom rom on it. I want to tether my phone with my vita via a 3g mobile hotspot. ive tried like every app on the market and i want to know if anybody knows what i can do to make this work. thanks

Sorry my knowledge of LG phones is limited.... is it an android? if so which android OS are you running?

I tried to use an iPhone hotspot on the vita but the SOB would keep saying "invalid SSID characters" even though i had typed the correct one -.-

tethering has to work on the vita, or i'm doomed

It apparently worked, I am reading though that after the new firmware update a bunch of phones are having finding the vitas signal. Lets keep researching!

I have an LG phone too and I tried teathering to get around my school's connection, and the Vita won't detect a NAT type with it...I cannot connect to PSN, or do anything with it.

The good thing is that I am blessed NOT to be at a school that whose networks makes it impossible for games and consoles period.

i downgraded to put the custom rom on LG Vortex 2.2.1

the hotspot apps i use can't assign the device a ip address thus giving it the error timeout finding ip address

as soon as i put the vita up on the network they started blocking the device which sucks cause i really want to get on the network and psn

I am glad I got a Windows 7 computer (out of impulse I barely use, only when I play The Sims 3)...I used this program called Connectify to make it into a Wifi hotspot, so I got a way stronger signal in my school.

I wonder if you can try that for yourself since you are at a school and got a Windows 7 computer. Like if that would help it not be blocked...cause the computer will be allowed on your school's network and the computer itself is presenting a hotspot. Of course it will still have the basic settings of the school, but it may not block out the device.

I use an iphone with the app called thether me but its a no go

i have a htc phone with android 2.2 and am using hotspot to wright this.

i got around the schools light speed system which was easy but you need your own computer and i just wanted to take something off of my network so other devices can be faster and so i could use it on my phone cause the schools internet sucks 800kbps

Mine stopped getting on the store today I can still get online with the browser but when I try to go to the store it times out it still works on my home network but just not when I tethering from my phone

Try reseting your router/ cable modem and im just jealous cause you can tether your vita to your phone

ya i just hope somebody gives me and everybody a solution. i also sent emails to the developers of open garden wifi tethering on this issue

ok finally have a solution i have an iphone and pdanet app works and of course you have to jail break it
