Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Cannot Join Friend's Invite

Does anyone have this problem where you can play online but cannot join a friends. I get an error saying due to communication it could not connect and goes to the main menu!

Please help

I get that mess with Virtua Tennis, but I can't fix that cause I have no access to my router (college campus), though I can play just fine online on Wipeout, join parties, etc...I can't voice chat and do anythign multiplayer on Virtua Tennis only.

If you usually can join friends in other games, easily go on PSN, and all that, it may be your internet...the NAT type may be strict or you have to open some ports.

You can also just check of you both are updated to the same patch !
