Wipeout did fine, and if a fast paced game like that looks good, then I really don't mind how many FPS CoD is, as long as it's above 29.
A common misconception is that if any more frames are generated than your monitor can display, they are useless. This is wrong -- frames are used for much more than mere display, and affect the way the game feels well past your refresh rate. You can see a difference between the two, by the way. Cap a PC game at 30 fps, then cap it at 60 fps. The difference is quite visual. You can't really measure how we see things with fps either.
Above 60 is unnecessary because the human eye cannot see the difference between 60 or 9001 fps or 100000000000000000 fps it'll look like 60 fps.

i hope for 45+ so i can get smooth gameplay and what-not. Wouldnt wan't to turn a sudden and lag and get killed
