Would you *hack* your Vita if it was do-able?

So, I'm thinking "Would I hack my Vita if I had the option available to me?". I would love to have emulators/tweaks for the Vita but when a new electronic gets hacked, it normally brings unwanted ignorant people to a good community. For example, I follow the Jailbreaking iOS scene and it has become a bunch of ignorant kids demanding very talented developers for the next jailbreak, the next emulator, the next update of a tweak. However, the true and long-term people within the community are some of most helpful/soundest people I have spoke to. It also opens the door to piracy and my view is you *try out* a piece of software and if you like it, support the developer because they have spent a huuge amount of time developing that SW and if you don't like it, delete it and move on. Yes, on my channel I have a vid showing you how to get free PSP games but I believe people should have the choice and for the record, although I did a video on it, I do not have one pirated iso on my PSP, I never have. So, I wanna hack my Vita to get emulators and tweaks but I really hope that this community does not become like the iOS Jailbreaking community *Rant Over :p * Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it to my only Vita, cause I still want to buy games, play online, do PSN and stuff, without any worries and all that mess...but if I had an extra one, probably so so I can enjoy the homebrew and other benefits.

I would hack a vita to allow 3rd party apps that were not approved by sony. I would however not use it to download games.

Im looking forward to the guys who cut them open and put crazy lights and shit in them. Thats what I want to do the most.

If it was anything like the iOS Jailbreak, it would totally be legit. But Sony would probably ban you from PSN or something.

I would. So I can make a follow up to the old psp custom firmware theme "Organ". Was so long ago it was fun to tinker with a psp that I really hope the Vita becomes more modable. But Im sadly sure it wont. Well well, love the Vita still.

as cool looking as mods are, don't they kind of defeat the purpose of handheld/portable gaming... why would u want to diminish the battery life even faster?

not to mention void ur warranty.
