this thread makes me laugh. No one "MAKES you pirate games" other then the reason you want too. As for the $$ of the games there are some really fun and CHEAP(4.99) games on psn for the Vita. Just open your eyes a bit. I used to work at GameStop and honestly these prices for the vita games are pretty fair for a handheld system of the Vita's powerhouse standards. So please don't complain how you cant "afford" a game unless its 5 bucks for the vita. Honestly everyone is in a pinch for $$ now thanks to how the world is going, and the other part is that no one really cares what you do or how you spend your cash, unless you still live with your folks and they pay for everything. lol

What game is 4.99$ or under to psvita? Frobisher says? lol

Ultimately you are hurting the companies that make it possible for you to play those games.

I didn't realize the Vita was hacked already. I thought they would learn their lesson from the easily hacked PSP.

I have pirated before, but that doesnt make it right, its true as far as what the other guys were saying no one MAKES you pirate the games. yea is sucks you cant play EVERY game you want to, but so what, take your time and enjoy the ones you have purchased. You know the prices of games before you bought the vita(if you didnt then your an idiot) so deal with it

How is piracy stealing? I don't see anyone walking out with games from, say, GameStop. They are downloading a COPY. That is how piracy is different than stealing. Stealing removes the original, so that the owner no longer has it. With piracy, the original stays with its owner and another person gets it as well.

How many people have ever burned a music CD for a friend who liked it? I don't know a single person that hasn't, minus those who have no clue how to use a computer. That is piracy. How is it different than this?

Besides, WHY is piracy wrong? People say it is because the developers don't get any money. Every buy a used game? You just paid for a game that has the same effects as getting it for free. The developers don't get a penny for used games. So, you now say that you should buy used games to keep GameStop, etc in business? Microsoft and Sony are both making it so that you can't buy used games, to shut down stores like GameStop.



If you ever copied a music/game CD for a friend or bought a used game, you are a pirate...no if's, and's or but's.

Besides, its only illegal to UPLOAD media, despite what you all were told. If you only ever download, it is 100% legal, but people don't know their rights and will willfully waltz into prison because they are asked to.

That all aside, I pirate, but only because I need certain non-open-source programs to learn the tools of my trade. I do the same for games, but only because I think that $40-$60 for a game is ridiculous, no matter how much of a 'powerhouse' the console is.

I was fully against piracy years ago, back when Electronics Boutique (EB) still existed. Used games were only $5-$15, depending on how popular the game was. GameStop, however, prices used only $5 below new prices.

My family is counted as below poverty. My dad cannot get a job anywhere and needs to rely on unemployment, which they cut out or reduce whenever they feel like it, and I cannot get a job for medical reasons. We barely have enough money to pay for food and meds, and we need to do something besides wallow in depression.

I already know that this will draw all of the "middle-class" douchebags that feel that they need to be superior because they make their money 'by working hard'. Back when my dad could actually get a job, he did more work in a week than most of you did in your entire lives so far. You can feel superior once you learn the skills to: be a fireman, be a welder in a steel mill, keep an entire radio station(official, not radio) working by yourself, fix copiers and printers, and fix PCs without error.

All so your not really hurting the developers because they got paid by the stores that buy there games by the hundreds or thousands, your only taking money away from the people that sell the games and not the people that make them. And I have no problem picking the pocket of MR CEO that gets paid to wipe his ass.

I've lost track of the debate. Liking piracy to stealing? Its stupid trying to categorise piracy as every internet retard starts to consult a list of criminal activities to see where it fits in. When I was at university, I got fibre optic broadband and downloaded everything I could. I soon got a phone call from the POLICE. yeah, that's right, I couldn't believe it either. They said I was downloading too many copyrighted stuff (student accommodation internet activity was moderated) and told me not to download as much. I hesitated then finally said... "well... how much stuff am I allowed to download?". With which they replied - "just... not as much. OK?". So, even the law don't seem certain as to whether its illegal or not, so I'm not going to worry about it.

Okay... well the Vita has not been hacked as far as I know... lol I find the posts here funny for some reason but anyhow... I collected money to buy uncharted 3 and my cuzen sent me psn codes I bought Mortal kombat and other old games due to not having much... I will try not to pirate but I'm not making any promises

your missing the point ... if you want to pirate ... that's your call , but to publicly announce your going to pirate was just plain silly... many of us aren't exactly rich where we can buy whatever we want ... but we all manage to gather up some money to pay for these over priced games and accessories ... before you decide to say something .. you should think of what others might say or think

I pirate games for PC and I only buy the game if it's good and worth it, and developers doesn't even support the PC gaming community anyways only Steam and some others. Devs think PC gamers pirate well we do it cause they sell their games for so much money.
